Harvest Information
Dear Customers,
We are aware there is a lot of info on this page. Please take the time to read through.
Most importantly we want you to know that we have created a venue that is an experience not just a pick your own orchard. We offer so much on site with the cafe, animals to feed, tractor rides and lots more. It's a great venue to visit even without fruit picking.
WE DONT GROW CHERRIES
Our season is coming to a close. We still have blood plums available until 20/12/2024. We won't have enough to open over the weekend as due to the heat and wind we had to pick them through the week to ensure we didn't lose the crop.
We can't THANK YOU ALL enough for one of our best seasons since before COVID. Helping our farm get back on its feet. We appreciate all the love and support this season. We will reopen on 6th January for school holidays and will be announcing some fun activities during our break.
We look forward to seeing you all soon. We will have bits and pieces available to pick throughout January and expect to have Apples, pomegranate and limes starting in February, tomatoes and Eggplant in March, Persimmon in April and Citrus from May. We look forward to seeing you all throughout the year.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Stay safe.
Thank you again
Jaime and the Canoelands Orchard Team

* Group Bookings. My weekday staff do an incredible job and I really don't want them to leave and find something else. If you are part of a seniors group, probus group, tour company, bike club, car club or have a friend group, community group, corporate group, school group or any group you think would like to come on a weekday (or a weekend) please contact me to arrange a date and make a plan. We can offer tractor rides, picking, animal feeding, bee talks (super popular with all ages), high tea, devonshire tea, bbq lunch, seniors menu, fish and chips, burgers, nachos, special needs groups, birthday parties, baby showers. More options are available in the menu on the www.bookingscanoelands.com website. We will do our best to accommodate any of your requirements. Please touch base. It's a wonderful venue and day out and is always thoroughly enjoyed by all groups that visit. Contact Jaime VIA TEXT on 0419688039 and I will reply ASAP.
* Bee Hive Sponsorship. We have now opened a new program where businesses, schools and families can make a donation to our beekeeping program. As many of you are aware our hives were destroyed by the DPI last year as we fell into the varroa mite red zone. This has been a heartbreaking journey. We lost so many bees across NSW due to this and WITHOUT BEES we have no food. Our bees are so important. You can help us "Save the Bees" by purchasing one of our sponsorship packages. Please see the link for details. Sponsor a Hive or Make a donation | Canoelands Orchard (bookingscanoelands.com).
We really hope to see you all visiting soon.
Please read through information prior to booking. Thank you
Sometimes we will only be opening bookings a short time in advance as we like to assess availability prior to opening sessions to avoid disappointment.

Please take the time to read EVERYTHING on this page. I receive many messages a day and find it difficult to respond as well as work (I pick and pack, serve, take bookings, do honey bottling/deliveries, staff rosters, ordering and bookwork ), Mum (and sleep sometimes. Ha Ha!!). Most of the questions are answered here. Don't hesitate to text message 0419688039 if you can't find an answer here though. I will respond ASAP. I can't listen to voice messages so please text instead. We need you to be aware of our rules prior to your visit so you know how it all works. Please read our policy and all signage on arrival also. Thankyou for your understanding. Jaime...

We ask that you respect our orchard, although we understand you wish to taste the fruit we ask that you taste only one, ( NO STRAWBERRY TASTING PERMITTED AS THERE IS JUST NOT ENOUGH). The rest you are required to purchase. We don't want to see our fruit, which is only on the trees once a year, all over the ground and wasted. Please understand that this is once a year income for us and if you are caught disrespecting the orchard, we do have the right to ask you to leave. We also want you to be aware that if you pick in an undesignated area and the fruit is immature you will be charged $20/kg. We know many cultures like green plums and small green nectarines but if these were to be full size then they would weigh 4 times as much so we will charge more. Our major season only lasts 10 weeks max a year and we require the income to survive till the next one. We appreciate your understanding on this. We don't like to post this sort of thing here but we feel we have no choice. We work hard all year to produce the fruit and it is very heart breaking for us to see it droppped all over the orchard or picked at a tiny size or unripe without the owner's prermission. If you don't want to buy it please dont pick it. If you are not told you can pick it on that day then it is not ready.
This is an ALL WEATHER event. Please dress to the conditions and bring spare shoes in wet weather. We don't provide refunds for bad weather.
Mother Nature can't be controlled.
Thank you and we hope to see soon
